So, I took a quick look at the story I did for NaNoWriMo in November. Just the first 2750 words or so. For reasons unknown, the person whose turn it is to provide a story for my writer's group won't be available, and didn't offer up a story, so it suddenly became my turn, and none of the 3 projects I had thought up were ready. However, I did have this story opener complete from my NaNoWriMo story, so I peeled that out, performed a quick, and extremely needed edit on it and sent it to the writer's group.

I am both proud and concerned about this piece of work. I think the concept is cool, and I'm happy with a lot of the "finished" bits, but the opener is supposed to dove-tail into the rest of the NaNoWriMo story, and it doesn't end well enough. The transition wasn't clean either-- it was something I had to work out, but because of time constraints, I didn't get to fixing it. It sounds lame at the end, and that is totally the opposite of what I was going for.

Oh well, that's something my writers group will tell me. It's what they do.

Got myself a genuine domain. Still using the free hosting, but now you can get there by going to 720hours.net or 720hours.org ( yes, 720hours.com was taken. Someone's just sitting on it - BASTARDS).

It's been less daily than I'd hoped. There's a lot of editing to do, because I've got a lot of  "ums" to get rid of. There will be one for each day, though, as soon as I'm done editing.

I'm also busily charting out the chapter progression, so with a little luck, and a lot of sweat, I'll have the 50k nailed by day 15. I'm shooting for 100k, but I'll settle for 50k if it means I get the stupid "I survived NaNoWriMo" banner...Of course, I'm shooting for 100k. Personal goal.

I've finally done it. I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year, and I'm doing something radical... I'm planning ahead. In keeping with planning ahead, I'm also trying to keep myself motivated, so I've started a PodCast. I'm doing it daily, and I started doing it on October 1st. I'm a day's edit behind at the moment, but everything will be posted before morning tomorrow. You can find the podcast at my720hours.co.cc.

I don't have voicemail or forums yet, but you can comment on any episode. It's rough, but I think it's going OK and i'm getting better.
